Vaccination Policy

To help your child get started with us smoothly, we ask that they’ve received at least one vaccination before enrolling. We understand every family’s journey is different, so we’re flexible—your child can continue their vaccination schedule while attending. For guidance on the best first vaccine, we recommend chatting with your pediatrician.

Primary Program Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes your Primary Program different from a traditional preschool or kindergarten?
Our Primary Program follows the authentic Montessori method, emphasizing hands-on learning, self-directed exploration, and multi-age collaboration. Children progress at their own pace, developing confidence, focus, and a genuine love of learning.
2. How do children learn in a Montessori classroom?
Children learn in a Montessori Primary classroom through hands-on exploration, freedom within limits, and individualized lessons tailored to their readiness. They choose meaningful work that interests them, move independently throughout the prepared environment, and build concentration, confidence, and responsibility as they complete tasks and care for their classroom. Mixed-age peers learn from one another, and teachers observe closely to guide each child’s natural development at their own pace.
3. What subjects or skills are taught in the Primary Program?
At Kinder Kids Montessori, we embrace Montessori principles to nurture the whole child through a concise program that includes early literacy and phonics, math, science, geography, cultural studies, art, and music. Our curriculum fosters independence and responsibility with practical life lessons, offering a well-rounded educational experience across five key areas: Language, Math, Practical Life, Sensorial, and Science & Culture.
4. How do you support social and emotional development?
Grace and courtesy are central to the Montessori environment. Children learn empathy, cooperation, and respect through daily routines, group lessons, and positive peer interactions — helping them build strong emotional intelligence and lasting friendships.
5. What is a multi-age classroom, and why is it beneficial?
Our 3–6-year-old classroom encourages peer learning. Younger children are inspired by older role models, while older students reinforce their knowledge by helping younger ones. This environment promotes leadership, patience, and mutual respect.
6. Is the Primary Program at Kinder Kids Montessori an affordable option for families?
Yes. The Primary Program at Kinder Kids Montessori in Weaverville, CA is one of the most affordable Montessori preschool options in the area. About 90% of families qualify for tuition assistance, making high-quality early education accessible for children ages 3 to 6 years.
7. How do you encourage independence and problem-solving?
Independence and problem-solving are encouraged by giving children meaningful choices, hands-on materials, and the time to work through challenges on their own. Teachers guide with gentle prompts rather than answers, helping children think, try new strategies, and build confidence as they care for themselves and their classroom.
How do you prepare children for their transition into public school?
We prepare our children for public school by building independence, focus, and strong academic foundations. They learn to follow routines, complete multi-step work, and manage their materials, while also developing confidence, social skills, and a love of learning that helps them thrive in any classroom.

Our experienced educators guide each child at their own pace, allowing them to develop a deep love for learning, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation for future academic success.
